We're back this week for a new, different blog, about something that I have been (sort-of) keeping secret, as I find it extremely useful when searching for a right location for couple shots, portraits and so on. I'm sharing with you the best photography spots in Johannesburg, some of which are hidden gems, some of which are well known. These are my go-to's, and now they can be yours to.

Hope you enjoy!

one.

Delta Park

(Linden, Randburg area.)

This park seriously has so much diversity; with a dam, urban stairs, the popular cosmos during March-May, and beautiful trees and nature, It's great for couple shoots, maternity shoots and family shoots. And it's a safer park to bring gear with, (for any photographers wondering).

two.

Sandton City Rooftop

(Sandton area.)

The popular Sandton City Rooftop is one of the best locations, mainly because of the urban feel it gives off for your pictures. It's free, and you get the beautiful urban-scapes as a backdrop. Would highly recommend this!

three.

The Rand Club

(Johannesburg CBD.)

This historical building is popular for photo-shoots, weddings or events. I love this for the drama it gives off: the red carpets, the old curtains, the stacks of vintage books, not to mention the huge paintings. There is so many diverse places to shoot in here, and you can hop onto the road outside of it after, and get some street urban shots as well. They do offer a location fee, but it's worth it! If you love the old money, vintage vibes, this place is for you!

four.

Casalinga

(Muldersdrift area.)

This lovely place has such a beautiful Pine Tree forest, and rows of orange trees, plus other vegetation. They allow you to use the entire location during your photoshoot. They have the sweetest restaurants, and chapel, that you can get some romantic shots as well. The Golden hour light in the forest, is something you don't want to miss.

five.

Cradle Moon Lodge

(Muldersdrift surrounding areas.)

This boasts with a huuuuge waterfall, that allows the most romantic, dreamy pictures for couple shoots. The Lodge has a wide range of nature and a dam, which translates very well in pictures. If the golden veld hues speak to you, then look at this for your next photoshoot!

six.

Bryanston Pine Forest

(Bryanston area.)

I am sure we all know the popular forest for photo-shoots of this Pine Forest. Sometimes you can't go wrong with a picnic blanket and a couple shoot here, it never disappoints.

seven.

Victoria Yards

(CBD area.)

Victoria Yards is a lovely, creative space for those looking to be unique and different with their photoshoots. They have large, empty rooms that are perfect for the urban, city couple looking to get some portraits.

eight.

Zoo Lake Park

(Parkview area.)

ROWING BOATS; that is all I have to say. Need I say more?
